Fellow Drammers!
Those of you who joined our Save Our Whiskey Bars! Benefit Event for Travel Bar a couple back were able to get a sneak peak of some fun Barrell Craft Spirits offerings with Eva Mulcahy, their Northeast Brand Development Manager. Everyone had such a great time, that we decided we wanted to do a much deeper dive event with them, and we’re very excited to share that we’ve settled on not just a tasting, but we’ll be doing a barrel pick for our club on October 22nd starting at 8pm EST / 5pm PDT, choosing a barrel in their Private Release series, and we’ll have some fun ones to pick from! Everyone who signs up will get to taste several exciting expressions, we know 6 of them now, and there may be more:
Bourbon Batch 25,
Dovetail,
Infinite Barrel Project,
Vatted Malt
Plus our club has bought 4 bottles (2 bottles each of 2 expressions) from Travel Bar to support him. We’ll be trying both of them at this event as well, and both were in the last series from the same Private Release program that we’ll be doing our barrel pick from. The two we’ll be trying are:
a Kentucky Whiskey finished in a rum agricole cask,
the other is a Kentucky Whiskey finished in an armagnac cask.
As for the barrel pick, we’ll have limited samples of the expressions we’ll be choosing from, so out of fairness we’ll do a lottery among the Drammers Members, and however many samples we can do will be picked out of a hat, so all Members will have an equal chance to get those samples on top of the normal tasting kit described above. The samples we’ll be choosing from will be whiskey finished in:
Pear brandy,
St. Agrestis Amaro,
Cognac, or
Calvados!
Can’t wait to see which barrel our Members pick!
With this event, we’re also going to start a new habit of creating a discounted price for Drammers Members, as an added benefit of membership, so:
$35/person for Drammers Members and
$50/person for Drammers Observers.
This is going to be an awesome event, and we’re expecting to be joined by founder Joe Beatrice, Eva and a lot of their team to tell us all about all the great things they’re doing. We hope you can join us!
