Hello Vegas Drammers!
We’re delighted to invite you to two very special events on May 11th in Las Vegas. The first is a daytime masterclass (11:30am to 3pm) which is more in depth and features a whopping 20 pours! The second is an evening “meet the maker” session, 6-8pm, each are free with RSVP. It’ll be hosted by the founder/owner of Chopin Vodka, Tad Dorda. Longtime members of our club know that we have a really exciting project in the works with Chopin -- working with the members of our Warsaw chapter (in Poland), we organized an online event during the pandemic to celebrate a really cool spirit Chopin makes -- they call it Mlody Ziemniak, a single distilled potato distillate (which they’ll be pouring during the masterclass). We know a lot of whiskey drinkers are down on vodka (which is misplaced in our view), but even if you are, Mlody Ziemniak is different -- it is single distilled, and comes off the still at around 60% abv before it is tanked, oxidizes for a period (sometimes years!) and is eventually bottled as a special annual release currently only available in Poland. Each release tastes wildly different from the others, and we are very proud to say we selected a special batch just for our members which we hope will arrive in the 3rd quarter this year. In the meantime, we are very proud to say that we've been offered a number of free tickets to a series of events that founder Tad Dorda is doing in honor of their 30 year anniversary. Please note: it is a ticketed event, and although it is free for our members, it requires an RSVP.
We have 10 spots for each event, so first-come, first served.
