Fellow Drammers!

World Whisky Day is coming up on Saturday, May 16th and we're ready to throw a massive Drammers Global Tasting Party in its honor.  We've secured an array of amazing bottles and guest speakers from around the world.  I'll follow up with a more detailed description soon, but in the meantime, check out this lineup, in alphabetical order...

Amrut Indian Whisky:  Aatma Single Cask - Single Barrel, Collector Series.  56.5% abv.  Peated single malt matured in port pipe for 6 years, 8 months (about as old as it gets for whisky matured in the hot Indian climate...).

Brenne French Single Malt Whisky:  Estate Cask.  Matured in French Oak Cognac Casks.  40% abv.

Cotswolds British Single Malt:  Founder's Choice.  Cask strength whisky matured in STR ex-red wine barriques.  60.5% abv!

30yo Hammerhead Czech Rare Single Malt.  30yo!!!!  30yo!!!  We have 2 of 300 bottles of this insanely rare Czech single malt, bottled at 51.2% abv.

Starward Australian Whiskey:  Solera.  100% Australian barley, matured exclusively in ex-Apera casks (Apera is an Aussie fortified wine, similar so Spanish sherry), using their special take on the solera process.  43% abv.

Stauning Danish Single Malt:  Young Rye.  This malted rye was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2018 and has long been sold out.  43.3% abv.

Three Ships South African Single Malt Whisky.  This is the only one in the mix that we've got a mix of different bottles.  We were able to source a 750ml bottle of their flagship 10yo limited edition, not available in the US as far as I know, and 2 of the 375ml bottles of the That Boutique-y Whisky Co. 6yo from Three Ships.  Rather than go through the hassle of a SET A / SET B, everyone will simply get randomly given one or the other, they both taste amazing btw.

What a lineup!  Excited to welcome our guest speakers for an incredible in-depth chat on Saturday the 16th of May, at 3pm / 15:00 EST.

Cheers!

Charlie
