Fellow Drammers!
We’re excited to announce a special tasting with the co-founder and distiller for New Riff Distilling, Jay Erisman, on June 9th, starting at 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern. This place has a hell of a cool story. It’s located in the parking lot of the famous Party Source, one of the largest and most respected liquor stores in the nation. We’ll let Jay explain it to us during the event in precise detail, but our understanding is that state law prevents them from owning both a distillery and a liquor store, so the owners sold the store to their employees (passing up on larger corporate offers), and the team at New Riff is heavily staffed by former rockstars at Party Source, Jay included btw. Talk about a whiskey of the people! In any case, we’re assembling a helluva lineup. This may change slightly, but not likely:

Maltster Rye
Balboa Rye (brand new!)
Jay's Pick - a mystery bottle, where we leave ourselves in Jay’s very capable hands…
Backsetter Bourbon or Backsetter Rye (these will be allocated at random, each set will get one or the other)
Single Barrel picks — this is the area that we’re still working on, depending on how it goes, we may include 2 or 3 single barrel picks, or maybe swap one out with one of their celebrated gins…
That’s one helluva lineup, and thanks to the generosity of our friends at New Riff, we’re able to keep the costs way down on this one, only $28/person for Drammers Members, and $38/person for Drammers Observers. We hope you can join us!
