Jun. 29 - Drammers NYC with The Balvenie

$85.00

We're delighted to add this special dusty bottle of The Balvenie to tomorrow's tasting, call it the tennis racquet bottle, ha.  We picked up this circa 1980s bottle at auction.  As we understand it, this was first released in 1983, representing one of David Stewart's early steps in pioneering the art of "finishing" whiskies, and this product was later rebranded as the DoubleWood release in 1993.  We'll need to confirm with Naomi, but this may be an early version of Balvenie finished in an Oloroso sherry cask.

This addition to the lineup is on top of a special unreleased experimental release that our guest speaker Naomi Leslie is bringing, a 16yo French oak bottling, a couple of travel retail bottles (18yo PX cask, 15yo Madeira cask), and we'll likely have another couple surprises -- we do love including their core range Caribbean cask!
