Fellow Drammers!

On Friday, February 5th, starting at 4pm, we’re honored to welcome Christophe Dupic as our guest speaker, the co-founder and co-owner of Rozelieures distillery in France. He’ll be joining us live from his home in France, hence the slightly earlier start time, and we’ll also be joined by our longtime friend and fellow Drammer Christelle Treunov, their brand ambassador here in the US. We’ll be trying all 5 expressions in their core range (the Origin, Rare Collection, Smoked, Peated, and their sole non-prated offering “Subtil” (“subtle” in French). We’ll also be trying two special experimental single barrels, one finished in an armagnac cask, the other in a HSE rum cask. And thanks to the generosity of our friends at Rozelieures, the event is only $20/person for Drammers Members and $30/person for Drammers Observers.

Within the French whisky-making community, Rozelieures has really established itself as a peat specialist (in fact, during our recent event with Alfred GIRAUD founder Philippe Giraud, he discussed how the source some Rozelieures distillate to include in their larger blend specifically for its peated component). The Rozelieures distiller is located in the Lorraine region of France, and though they only began making whisky in the early 2000s, they have been making a traditional plum eau de vie going back 5 generations, using fruit grown on the Grallet family land since the 19th century. They decided to take the same approach with their whisky, using the same alambic stills, and only using barley grown on their own farm.

Christophe is normally busy making the whisky, and rarely has time for events like this, so it is a real honor that he is making the time to join us on February 5th, we hope you can join us!
