Now I can share why we moved back the start time of our live podcast recording on Feb. 12th to an 8pm start time — because we’re going to have TWO events that evening, incredibly! From 5 to 7:30, I’m thrilled to welcome Bill Thomas, the co-owner of DC’s legendary Jack Rose whisky bar, arguably the greatest whisky bar in America if not the world (along with Harvey Fry, who I posted about recently). Bill will be joining us in person as we taste through a new American whisky brand, Wilderness Trail, generously brought to us by Leo and our friends at PM Spirits. We’ll try their whole line: a 4yo bottled-in-bond bourbon, a PM Spirits selection bourbon, a PM Spirits selection high-rye bourbon, a single barrel 4yo rye, a PM Spirits selection single barrel Rye, plus a special exclusive bottling picked by Bill Thomas. And since PM Spirits is donating all this whisky, the event will only be $10/person to pay for the pizza. Really excited to have Bill Thomas joining us, and for those going for the double-whammy, we’ll clear the room for 30 minutes, and then start back up at 8pm for the One Nation Under Whisky live podcast taping!
