LA Drammers!
I’m going to be in town this weekend in connection with the arrival of our barrel of 20 year old Scotch distilled in Sutherland. I’d initially hoped to do an outdoor gathering, as it only seemed right that our LA members would be the first to try our special new barrel, but obviously with everything going on, that’s not possible. But I still want to do something while I’m out there, so here’s the idea — I’ll drive around and drop off the samples to anyone in the general LA area on Saturday night and Sunday (plus Orange County), then we can log in together over Zoom on Monday night (Dec. 7th) starting at 7pm to taste the together. You’ll be the first in the club to taste our new 20yo scotch distilled in Sutherland (that we think will taste like a fine-quiche, ahem), plus a few of our other recent barrel picks exclusive to our club (the High West American Prairie rye finished in a Rivesaltes wine cask, the special pulquero mezcal, and even our new Copper & Kings gin matured in a sherry cask) plus the Medley barrel that our LA picked (for our newer members who missed it).
Only $5/person for Drammers Members and $15/person for Drammers Observers (which is well below cost, just a small gesture so we can do something together this way until we can start in-person meetings again). This event will be limited to members in the LA and Orange County area only, FYI.
