Dec. 7: Barrel Pick at Bardstown Bourbon Co.

Our club has been selected to receive one of the last "futures barrels" being allocated from Bardstown Bourbon Co. On Wednesday, Dec. 7th at 10am, we'll meet at the Bardstown Bourbon Co. distillery in Kentucky, where we'll start pulling samples from barrels that have been aging for 1 to 3 years. We'll pick a barrel, and when it turns 6 years old, we'll have the opportunity to bottle it. Our friend and fellow Drammer Nick Lewis from Bardstown Bourbon Co. will be leading us on the tour, and he always spoils us rotten. We'll have a few hours to kill in the afternoon (working on setting up a distillery tour) and then we'll meet up with Nick and some friends in the evening for drinks. We're capped at 6 people for this experience including me, so we've got 5 open spots and we're limiting this opportunity to Members only, first-come, first-served (free to sign up, though you need to arrange your own travel and accommodations). Note that the distillery has only allocated a very small number of barrels for this program, which they're shutting down at the end of the year, truly an honor!
