Fellow Drammers!
Who’s ready for some 50 year old brandy? Actually, it’s a blend of brandies where the youngest is 50 years old, the oldest is distillate dating back to 1868! Bhakta Brandy was founded by our guest speaker, Raj Bhakta, who previously founded WhistlePig. We’ll be tasting 9 expressions:
Barrel 9: Colgrevance (vintages 1868, 1893, 1929, 1941, 1955, 1962, 1965, 1970)
Barrel 11: Bohemond (vintages 1868, 1898, 1934, 1941, 1952, 1956, 1962, 1970)
Barrel 12: Lafayette (vintages 1868, 1878, 1900, 1947, 1956, 1963, 1965, 1970)
Barrel 13: Godfrey (vintages 1868, 1897, 1939, 1946, 1956, 1963, 1965, 1970)
Barrel 14: Theobald (vintages 1868, 1897, 1939, 1946, 1952, 1963, 1967, 1970)
Barrel 15: Boniface (vintages 1868, 1898, 1939, 1947, 1952, 1962, 1965, 1970)
PLUS 3 different single vintage bottling.
Note that Barrel 14, 15 have not yet been released. And while the 3 single vintage bottlings aren’t still being decided, they almost certainly will not be publicly available (their cellarmaster has suggested 1963, one from 1980s, and 2000, but that is subject to change — should be a fun way to see how this spirit evolves on its way to 50+ year old flavor.
We hope you can join us!
