Fellow Drammers!
Mark your calendars for April 1st, starting at 8pm EST (not an April Fools joke, ha!), where we are delighted to welcome back Gabriel Zazueta as our guest speaker. Those of you who have attended our mezcal events will remember Gabriel, who among other things was also a guest speaker for our Save Our Mezcal Bars! benefit event for the staff of Ghost Donkey last year. Gabriel is an impassioned advocate for all things mezcal. In addition to co-founding Tuyo.nyc (home to the wonderful Hey Hey Agave! podcast!), he is the Creative Director and Agave Educator for El Buho Mezcal, which will be the focus of this event. We’ll be tasting 5 different expressions of their delicious mezcal: espadin, cuishe, tepextate, and two blends (“ensembles”), the first a blend of the tobala and espadin agaves, the next a remarkable blend of arroqueno, barrel, coyote and cuixe. And thanks to their generosity in donating all the bottles, we’re proud to present this event at cost of $10/person for Drammers Members ($20/person for Drammers Observers). We hope you can join us!
