Very happy to welcome the founders and distillers at Nahmias et Fils distillery, the rightfully proud producers of Mahia. Mahia is the official spirit of morocco, a fig based spirit using family recipes that go back generations among the Jewish community in Morocco. The founders of this distillery are drawing on a centuries-old family recipe, and today they are the only distillery keeping the tradition alive here in America. They also make bourbon and rye, and very likely we’ll be able to track down a bottle of their Spirit of Yonkers release, so we’re expecting at least 4 expressions in this tasting.
