SIERRA NORTE MEXICAN WHISKEY - DISTILLERY TOUR
Our good friend Douglas French, the founder and Master Distiller for Sierra Norte Mexican Whiskey and Scorpion Mezcal, has generously offered to give us a tour of his distillery, which is located near the airport. Since renting vans/buses during Day of the Dead weekend is unnecessarily expensive, we will simply book taxis each way. We’ll tour the distillery and try some of his excellent whiskies, made from many varietals of Mexican corn, something that Douglas has pioneered far beyond any other whiskey distillery that we know of. It’s also a great chance to meet Douglas and his wife, who will also be joining as guests at the wedding.
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 1st, depart at 10:30am, return at approximately 2pm.
MEETING WHERE: Across the street from the restaurant VIPS (809 Benito Juarez, Ruta Independencia, Centro, 68000). Just type VIPS into Google or Apple Maps — it’s the only one in Oaxaca Centro.
COST PER PERSON: US$30
