Hello Turners Falls Drammers!
You’re invited to join for a special event on July 2nd with guest speaker Jay Liddell. You may recall that a year or so ago we welcomed Jay in a different role - back then, he was working for High Wire Distillery out of Charleston. He’s recently returned to a company he helped launch — Conecuh Brands, which owns several whiskies including the Clyde May line of bourbon and rye whiskies, McConnells Irish whiskey and more. We’re thrilled to welcome him back in this new role, and he’s bringing a bunch of great whiskey for us to taste! A huge thank you as always to our chapter head Brooke Donatone for organizing and hosting (address: 29 Walnut Street, Turners Falls, 01376), and Brooke will be running point on this event (Charlie will be hosting an event simultaneously in North NJ, maybe we can do a quick video call for the two chapters to say hello!). In any case, here’s the lineup of what we’ll be tasting:
Clyde May Wheated bourbon ,
Clyde May’s Alabama style whiskey,
Clyde May’s Special reserve 6yr Bourbon (110 proof)
Clyde May’s Straight Bourbon (92 proof)
Clyde May’s Rye Whiskey
McConnell’s 5yr Irish Whiskey
McConnell’s Sherry cask Irish Whiskey, and
McConnell’s Cognac Cask finish Irish Whiskey.
That’s our lineup, we hope you can join us! We’ll order in light food, which is included with your ticket (likely pizza — please let us know in advance if possible if you have any dietary requirements). Please let us know if you have any questions!
