Hello Stamford Drammers,
On Thursday, January 8th at 7:30pm, you’re invited to join us for a special whiskey tasting to celebrate the launch of “The History of Whiskey” by the author (and our friend) Robin Robinson. Robin was actually the first guest speaker we ever welcomed at Drammers Club, back in 2016! His book from a few years ago “The Complete Whiskey Course” has become one of the most respected books in the industry, and so of course there is a lot of anticipation for this his newest book.
Everyone who signs up through the Drammers.com website will get a copy of Robin’s new book included with your ticket. There will also be complimentary light food on hand (small sandwiches and the like). Robin is an incredible presenter, drawing his decades of experience in the industry with Compass Box and other brands. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable, he’s also a lot of fun — trust us when we say you’ll have a blast listening to his presentation!
PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION: The event will take place about 27 minutes from our usual location in Stamford — that’s because we’re hosting it as a joint event with our friends at the World Whiskey Society and will take place at their venue located at: Silver Lake Mutual Society, 64 Park Ave, W. Harrison, NY 10604. Please Note: As part of the arrangement with the building, we agreed to have our guests park in the farthest parking spots from the entrance.
The whisky lineup will be robust, and includes whisk(e)y from: Angel's Envy; Old Potrero; Cadenhead's; Amrut; Nikka; McCarthy's; Kavalan; Daftmill; Glenfiddich; Dewars; Knappogue Castle; Bomberger's; Shenk’s, plus I’m told me we be treated to an extra-special pour from fellow Drammer Dave Schmier, who is expected to join.
