Hello New Jersey Drammers!
On Wednesday, January 28th at 7pm, you’re invited to join us for a tasting of rare whiskey and other spirits. A big thank you to Peter, Ron and Vijay for organizing! Your ticket includes light food (likely pizza), and as always we ask that everyone arrange a ride home since we’ll be drinking a lot of high proof spirits! We’ve got a really fun and diverse lineup for you:
Single Cask Nation - Glen Garioch 12yo bottling for the Independent Spirits film. Finished in an Oloroso hogshead, 58.9% abv.
High West - the new release of A Midwinters Night’s Dram (blend of rye whiskies finished in Port casks)
Barrell Craft Spirits - Drammers Single Barrel Pick - Bourbon Finished in a St. Agrestis Amaro Cask (cask strength)
Rezpiral Mezcal - new drammers pick Arroqueno by Simeon Ramirez, made only from the LEAVES of the agave, not the pina. Crazy.
Creetown - Independent bottling of Scotch, 13yo Blair Athol (finished in an Australian Red Wine cask)
Cilantro - the latest madhatter creation from our friends at Empirical! They use their trademark vacuum still to create a distillate from cilantro. Impossible to explain, you just have to try it.
