Feb. 21: Drammers Las Vegas -w- Glasgow Distillery's Niall Hall......

$35.00

Hello Las Vegas Drammers!

On Saturday, Feb. 21st at 6:30pm, we’re thrilled to welcome you to a special tasting with the Business Manager for the The Glasgow Distillery, Niall Hall. He’s a big rugby guy and is actually in town to play for Scotland at the Rugby matches the following weekend while we’re having the Drammening! Niall is the Business Development Manager for the Glasgow Distillery and normally based in Glasgow. The event will take place at: Address:  414 Studios LLC, 4460 W. Hacienda Ave, Ste 104).

If you’re not familiar with the Glasgow Distillery, they are the rare distillery located right in the city. Founded in 2012, they began producing Scotch whisky in 2015 and so now at over 10 years old, their whisky is starting to get especially interesting. We’ve long been fans of this distillery, and have hosted them for online events in the past, but this will be a rare chance to host them in person here in the US. The lineup will include:

  • Glasgow Distillery 1770 - Original Single Malt, their flagship at 46% abv (details)

  • Glasgow Distillery 1770 - Peated Single Malt, 46% abv (details)\

  • Glasgow Distillery 1770 - Triple Distilled, 46% abv (details)

  • Malt Riot - a blended malt Scotch made by the Glasgow Distillery team that sees their own single malt blended with other single malt Scotches.

  • And we are guessing that Niall may bring some special bonus treats with him as well.

  • Also! We’ll also be joined by our friend Peter Currie, who heads up Shand Imports, and he’ll bring along some other goodies, including the three expressions by the Islay Boys (the team that makes beer on Islay and is building a new distillery there), and Peter never shows up anywhere without a couple bonus Duncan Taylor pours in tow (they also import that legendary independent bottler, which Peter used to work for…).

In all, it will be an epic tasting, and we hope you can join us! A big thank you to Bob for organizing (we’re still in the process of nailing down where it will be hosted — if anyone is interested, please let us know, but regardless we’ll follow up with details on that soon. We’ll order in light food, included with your ticket (likely pizza), and as always we ask that everyone arrange a ride home after the event, after all, we’ll be drinking a lot of high proof stuff!

Cheers,
Charlie, Bob and Drammers Club
