You’ve invited to join us for a special tasting on Wednesday, December 2nd, starting at 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern, with Owen Martin, the Master Distiller at Angel’s Envy. You may recall that we last hosted Owen when he was the Master Distiller at Stranahan’s Distillery, and when the news broke back in 2022 that he was taking on the role at Angels Envy, I called him up to congratulate him. I offered to do an event then to celebrate, but (sensibly) he suggested we wait a beat, give him a little time to put together some of the (many!) exciting ideas he had so that we could taste Angel’s Envy whiskey that he had created.
Well, we’ve been waiting patiently (and collecting rare bottles!) and that moment has arrived! We have bottles for 3 events, ha, and have carefully pared it down to a mere 10 expressions. Check out this lineup:
Kentucky Bourbon Festival 2026 Limited Edition Single Barrel - Bourbon finished in a Sauternes Barrel, 58% abv
Distillery Exclusive - Bourbon Finished in Stout and Amburana Barrels, 50% abv
Cellar Collection Vol. 5 - French Oak and Tequila Cask Finish (2025), Straight Rye Whiskey aged up to 7 years before being finished for up to 12 months in French Oak Extra Añejo barrels. 52.1% abv (details)
Cellar Collection Vol. 6 - Peach Brandy Finished Rye. Split into two parts—one finished in peach brandy casks for up to 23 months, and another finished in toasted oak barrels for up to 12 months, then blended back together. 53.2% abv
10yo Cask Strength - 2025 Limited Edition. They put a lot of effort into these annual limited edition cask strength releases, which are priced accordingly. 61.3% abv (details)
Bottled in Bond Cask Strength Limited Edition. The first-ever (at least that we’ve ever heard of) release of a bourbon that is both Bottled-in-Bond and cask strength. To pull off that nifty feat, Master Distiller Owen Martin blended together barrels that at natural cask strength happened to come together at exactly 50.0% abv (every other Bottled-in-Bond release in history as far as we know has added water to reduce the abv to 50%). But it is also an important release for another reason — it is the first time Angel’s Envy has released an unfinished product (in other words, not further matured in a secondary cask). (details)
Triple Oak. The only core range bottling we’re expecting to include in the tasting - our understanding is this was one of the first things Owen added to the party after taking the helm. This sees their signature bourbon finished in a blend of three distinctive casks—Hungarian, Chinkapin, and French oak. Each adds its own influence: French oak lends warm baking spice, Chinkapin adds caramel and vanilla richness, and Hungarian oak contributes notes of toasted nuts, honey, and dried fruit. 46% abv (details)
Drammers Club - Single Barrel Pick (Bourbon Finished in Port). This is a single barrel of their flagship bourbon finished in a port cask. We’re very proud of it. 55% abv. (details)

[2026 Cask Strength Limited Edition - Likely the Rye, but that may change]
It’s one hell of a lineup for what will be an epic tasting. As always, there is a small chance this lineup may change slightly if our guest speaker requests any changes, but that is fairly rare (and if it happens, it’ll no doubt just get even better).
