Hello Austin Drammers!

You’re invited to join us for a special tasting on Friday, March 28th at 7pm with the team from Bunnahabhain, Ledaig, Tobermory and Deanston! They will be presenting at the wonderful Galaxy Whisky Gala the following night along with a bunch of other great brands, but while they were in town they offered to do this event with our group, which will be a more intimate, much deeper dive (12 pours!). Our guest speaker will be Naomi Ayalon, the new Business Development Manager for CVH Spirits (which owns those four great distilleries). Check out this lineup:

  • Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair. We’ll start with their flagship, a fruity, unpeated expression that is primarily aged in ex-sherry casks. They don’t disclose the age statement on this one, but they’re definitely something very right with this expression. It’s delicious, especially for the price (available to buy here through our retail partner DRINQY.com ($43.99/bottle).

  • Bunnahabhain - 12 Year Single Malt Scotch. Stepping things up a bit, we’ll turn to an iconic Bunna offering through the ages — it was first launched in 1979! Double Matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry Casks. 46.3% abv (available here for $67.99).

  • Bunnahabhain - 18 Year Single Malt Scotch. This distillery really starts to evolve at older age statements, it will be fun to contrast the 12 to the much more limited releases aged 18 and 25 years old.

  • Bunna Toiteach a Dha. This is actually a peated version of their whisky, using a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Available through our retail partner here.

  • Deanston: Virgin Oak Finish

  • Deanston - 12 Year Single Malt Scotch

  • Deanston - 18 Year Single Malt Scotch

  • Tobermory - 12 Year Single Malt Scotch

  • Tobermory - 17 Year Single Malt Scotch

  • Ledaig - 10 Year Single Malt Scotch

  • Ledaig - Sinclair Series Rioja Finish

  • Ledaig - Triple Wood

How about that for a lineup? We’ll order in light food (likely pizza) which is included with your ticket. And as always, everyone needs to arrange a ride home for this event (12 pours!).
