We’re excited to invite you to this special rum tasting in Denver on April 6th at 7pm. A big thank you to Joshua and Clarke for organizing and to Clarke for hosting us at his soon-to-be-opened new whisky bar Little Wolf (formerly Cafe Brazil, address: 4408 Lowell Blvd, Denver). For this event, we’re thrilled to welcome Holmes Cay Rum’s Brand Manager Mike Hooker, who will be walking us through 6 expressions of their premium single cask rum:
Heritage Blend. Their signature rum is a blend of Barbados, Venezuelan and Martinique rums (pot and column still). 43% abv
Destileria Sofa. 15 year old molasses-based rum distilled in 2007 in Venezuela. Molasses base, column still, 55% abv.
Foursquare Rum. 9 year old rum distilled in 2012 in Barbados, a blend of pot and column distillate aged in ex-bourbon and port casks. 55% abv.
Travellers Liquors Distillery. 16 year old rum distilled in 2006 in Belize. Molasses / column still / ex-bourbon cask / 61% abv.
Beenleigh Artisan Rum Distillery. 10 year old rum distilled in 2012 in Australia. Molasses / pot still / ex-bourbon & American oak / 61% abv.
10 Cane Distillery (Defunct!). 12 year old rum distilled in 2012 in Trinidad. Distilled from fresh cane juice in a pot still, 4 years ex-cognac, 8 years ex-bourbon, 58% abv.
That’s our lineup, we hope you can join us! We’ll order in light food (likely pizza) which is included with your ticket. And as always, we strongly recommend arranging a ride home, these are nearly all cask strength after all. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
