Fellow Drammers!

Online Bruichladdich tasting with Global Brand Ambassador Frazer Matthews!! It will be on Friday, September 22nd, starting at Noon Pacific and 3pm EST for those of us in the US, and at 20:00 in Scotland.

We’ll be tasting through a bunch of fun bottles that were only available at the Distillery, many of them only available at their big annual Feis Ile Open Day this year and last year. Specifically, we’ll be tasting:

  • Rock’NDaal 01.1 - Feis Ile 2022. Islay Single Malt released at the festival last year, 1 of only 2,500 bottles. “To celebrate being back on Islay for the Ultimate Party that is Feis Ile, this is the first of two bottlings released to rock out at our 2022 “Rock’NDaal” Festival. Fusing vintages of Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore, these signature spirits create a classic, unplugged bourbon matured single malt. 50% abv.

  • Rock’NDaal 01.2 - Feis Ile 2022. Again, 1 of 2,500 bottles. “The second of a two-part bottling celebrating the return to Islay for Feis Ile 2022, Rock’NDaal 01.2 is an alternative counterpart to Rock’NDaal 01.1. Once again uniting vintages of Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore. This electric fusion is matured in Europe’s finest wine and sherry casks to create a deep, rich and flavourful single malt. 50% abv.

  • Rock’NDaal 02.1 - Feis Ile 2023. A limited edition release of only 2,500 bottles to mark Feis Ile 2023. An annual celebration of Islay’s whisky, music and culture. This vibrant spirit has notes of lychee, honey and tropical fruits that encapsulates the energy of the day. Distilled in 2006, aged 16 years in bourbon and Sauternes casks. 50% abv.

  • Rock’NDaal 02.2 - Feis Ile 2023. This one is Port Charlotte juice, distilled in 2006, aged 16 years. Again one of only 2,500 bottles. 50% abv.

  • The Regeneration Project. Featuring a mixed mashbill of 55% rye (which is the first known Islay-grown rye) and 45% malted barley is fully traceable and ultra high provenance, designed as a project to rejuvenate the soil health of the farms where they grow their barley. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2023, 1 of 1800 bottles. 50% abv.

  • The Biodynamic Project. This whisky features “biodynamic” barley “from carbon negative Yatesbury House Farm, intended to support the regenerative agricultural systems they work with. 1 of 5,000 bottles. Harvested at Yatesbury House Farm, distilled at Bruichladdich distillery in 2011, bottled in 2021, aged 10 years. 50% abv.

That’s the core of what we’ll be tasting at this event, though we may add to it. We’ll be joined by Frazer to tell us all about these exciting bottles. We hope you can join us.

Cheers,
