Sep. 10: Drammers Boston Welcomes Alex White, Founder of Rezpiral!

Fellow Drammers!

We’re thrilled to share that Alex White, founder of Rezpiral, which distributes some of the greatest agave distillates in the world, will be in town from Mexico and will join us in person in Boston on Friday, September 10th! We’ll also include a couple great single malt whiskies in the lineup.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get a better sense of all the great things Rezpiral are doing, including a 20% profit share going back to the mezcal producers (on top of buying their mezcal at regular or above market prices already). This is unheard of in the industry, and a testament to Alex and Rezpiral’s commitment to championing the mezcaleros and mezcaleras. We’ve selected 7 batches of mezcal with them — 2 have yet to arrive to the US, though if we’re lucky Alex may bring a bottle in his bag, so that our Boston chapter would be the first in the club to get to try them. We’ll also be trying the batches we’ve purchased exclusively for the club to date, including two batches from maestro mezcalero Aureliano Hernandez (Capon Espadin and Tobala con Frutas), a batch of tobasiche from Simeon and Apolonio Ramirez., a batch of espadin from Abel Martinez (his prior batch was named the number one espadin of 2020 by the New York Times), and perhaps the most exciting of them all — 100% tepextate from the great Berta Vasquez. No doubt we’ll have a couple more on hand just for fun, but this gives you a sense of what to expect. We hope you can join us!
