Fellow Drammers!

We’re thrilled to welcome back Colin Gordon, the Distillery Manager at the great Ardbeg Distillery on Sunday, October 6th starting at Noon Pacific / 3pm EST in the US and 20:00 in Scotland. The event will feature a killer lineup of 10 expressions, including:

  • Ardbeg Single Cask #3771 - Distillery Exclusive, cask strength, 14 years old, 59.0%, released during Feis Ile in May, 2024, 1 of 633 bottles, matured in a 2nd fill PX sherry butt. Filled 2nd July 2009, bottled 18 October 2023. Ardbeg single casks are extremely rare (none have come to the US in years), so we were thrilled to be able to pick up two bottles of each of these expressions at the distillery in May. Do a quick Google search for yourself and you’ll see, these bottles are reselling for thousands of dollars each.

  • Ardbeg Single Cask #5619. Distillery exclusive, cask strength, 7yo, 60.4% abv, released during Feis Ile in May, 2024, 1 of 289 bottles, matured in a 2nd Fill Cotie-Rotie Wine cask, filled 7th August 2015, bottled 22nd March 2023.

  • Ardbeg 25yo. Ooh, yeah. Aged 25 years, which brings us back to a time when Ardbeg wasn’t making nearly as much whisky as it does today.

  • Traigh Bhan, 19yo Latest Batch (#5?). 46.2% abv. Aged 19 years. Matured in American Oak and Oloroso sherry casks.

  • Anthology 14yo, Batch 2: The Unicorn’s Tail. Matured for 14 years in a marriage of aromatic Madeira and classic bourbon casks, 46% abv.

  • Feis Ile Release 2024: Ardbeg Spectacular! Matured in ex-bourbon and (for the first time for Ardbeg) port wine casks.

  • Feis Ile Release 2023: Ardbeg Heavy Vapors! An experimental release that does NOT use Ardbeg’s trademark purifier, resulting in heavier compounds winding their way into the distillate.

  • 3 core range releases: We need something we can actually buy and drink on the regular, right? We’ll revisit Uigeadail, Corryvreckan and the classic 10yo release.

That’s our lineup! We hope you can join us!

Cheers,
Drammers Club
