Hello North NJ Drammers!

A huge opportunity fell in our lap, which we’re thrilled to invite you to — on Sat. Oct. 19th at 8pm, we will welcome James Wills, the head of Sales & Marketing for the great Kilchoman distillery. He’s in town for the launch of the 3rd expression in their core range - Batch Strength.

Although we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Peter for online events each of the last three years, this will be our first opportunity to welcome him in person. If you’re not familiar with the Kilchoman Distillery, it is beloved by fans of single malt Scotch (especially fans of peaty Scotch).  They were the first new distillery on Islay in 124 years when they launched in 2005, and now as they're getting a little older, their whisky just keeps getting more and more interesting.  Although they famously have many special experimental releases, they've only ever had two regularly available "core range" releases -- until now.  Kilchoman is very much a family run business, so James and his two brothers run the distillery alongside their father, the founder of the distillery, Anthony Wills).

This is a rare opportunity to be at the launch with the family who runs this great distillery.  We'll taste through 8 expressions at this tasting (Batch Strength, Machir Bay, Sanaig, Sauternes Cask Matured, PX Sherry Cask matured, 100% Islay 13th edition, our Drammers-exclusive STR finish single cask, and one more surprise pour)!  Free to attend, and we’ll have complimentary light food on hand (likely pizza).  Please be sure to sign up early and spread the word -- we need to make sure we have a good showing for a guest speaker of this caliber, so signing up last minute is less helpful, ha.  We hope you can join us!
