Hello NYC Drammers!

On Saturday, November 5th, starting at 7pm, we’re excited to host probably the most massive Balcones tasting ever. We’ve had the pleasure of calling the Balcones team friends for so long — complete with 4 barrel picks! — it’s hard to believe that we’ve never done a proper blowout tasting with them in NYC, but it’s true. We’re going to fix that with a seriously epic tasting, where we’ll be welcoming both Alex Elrod (their National Single Barrel & Brand Education Manager) and Gabriel RiCharde, their Director of Spirits. Here’s SOME of the lineup (be sure to drink lots of water before coming, ha), drumroll please….

  • Peated Sauternes Single Malt

  • Balcones Bock (their single malt distilled using the Shiner Bock recipe) first edition bottling

  • Texas Bock Cask Strength (their last, virtually impossible-to-find release in collab with Shiner)

  • Tres Hombres - their fabulous ZZ Top collaboration that was their secret pour at WhiskeyFest NYC last year

  • ZZ Top Cask Strength (hasn’t dropped/distillery only and this is their last release in collab with ZZ Top)

  • Portucale Single Malt (Exclusive for the Whisky Club of Australia)

  • 2023 15th Anniversary Single Malt

  • Secret Experimental Rye (Release TBD)

  • Secret Experimental Bourbon (Release TBD)

  • NEW bottled in bond Rye expression

  • their signature Lineage American Single Malt

  • Big Baby - their tequila finished corn whisky that was inspired in significant part by our barrel pick! Speaking of which…

  • Balcones Drammers Single Barrel Pick - True Blue finished in a Tequila Cask

  • Balcones Drammers Single Barrel Pick - Single Malt in an Apple Brandy Finish
