Nov. 15th: Ultra-Rare Jefferson's Reserve with Founder and Master Blender Trey Zoeller...

We’ve been working on this event for a long, long time: a tasting of ultra-rare Jefferson’s Reserve — including their legendary 30 year old bourbon release — led by their founder and Master Blender Trey Zoeller. A few years ago we got close, having sourced a bottle of their 30yo bourbon at auction, and we announced the event…. only to learn the bottle broke during shipping. Devastating. It took us a couple years to find a replacement bottle (they don’t come up at auction very often, and the few folks selling them online want $6,000/bottle+ for them). But now we’ve got our hands on a bottle, it’s arrived safe and sound, and Trey has signed off on the new date. November 15th at 8pm EST / 5pm Pacific, we’re going to aim to do the ultimate Jefferson’s tasting. In addition to the 30yo, we’ll also be tasting a bottle of their 18yo bourbon that was aged at the Stitzel Weller warehouse, and if you do a search for that, you’ll see that on the secondary market if also goes for $1k+ a bottle. Here’s the full lineup:

• Jefferson’s Reserve Presidential Select 30yo Bourbon, Batch No. 1, Bottle #2117, Straight Bourbon, 45.2% abv.

• Jefferson’s Reserve Presidential Select 18yo, Distilled from Wheat in the Fall of 1991, Aged in Stitzel Weller Barrels, bottle no. 1368, Kentucky Straight Bourbon, 47% abv

• Jefferson’s Twin Oak Aged at Sea (a not-yet-released distillery only bottle that will be released at the end of November / early December), courtesy of our friends at Jefferson’s.

• Jefferson’s Ocean New York Aged at Sea (new limited edition NY only bottling, brought to proof with the same NY water that made NY bagels and pizza famous)

• Jefferson’s Wood Experiment Collection (this set featured 5x 200ml experimental wood finishes). Each person who signs up will get one of the 5 experiments, selected at random.

• Jefferson’s Reserve Bourbon Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finished
