It's not every day that a new "whisky" arrives on Islay, and we want to be there to celebrate! Islay's 9th distillery, Ardnahoe, is tucked away on the North side of the Island near Bunnahabhain, and their whisky just turned the all-important 3 years old, when by law it can be called Scotch whisky. We've still got some waiting to do though before we see their first release -- they've decided to wait until the whiskey has matured at least 5 years before they release anything. But still, this is an exciting day, so we're going to throw an online tasting party for their "whisky-versary" where we'll be among the first anywhere in the world to try their new make. We're thrilled to be joined by their Distillery Manager Fraser Hughes and their Operations Manager Paul Graham for this momentous occasion.

And while the new make will be the headliner, of course we'll be tasting a lot more -- after all, the distillery was founded by independent bottling greats Hunter Laing. We've squirreled away some distillery-only cask strength hand-fill bottles already, and we're in the process of sourcing some headliners too. But we wanted to get this on everyone's calendar right away so they can make plans. The fun will start on December 11th at Noon Pacific / 3pm Eastern / 20:00 on Islay!
