May 22: Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky with Peter Currie...

We’re thrilled to announce a special online event with Peter Currie and the team at the great independent bottlers at Duncan Taylor. They have a rich history, dating back to their founding in 1938, though most industry folks agree that it really emerged when Euan Shand took it over in 2002 and has massively raised the profile of the company. We last celebrated Duncan Taylor when we welcomed Peter in person at our Los Angeles chapter in May of last 2021, and since then we’ve stocked up on some special bottles to share in an online tasting for the broader club. Here’s our lineup so far:

• The Octave - The Huntly 20yo (aka teaspooned Balvenie). 1996. 49.8% abv. Here’s an area where

• The Octave - Craigellachie 9yo (2008)

• The Octave - Aultmore 8yo (2008)

• Duncan Taylor Glen Garioch 7yo (2011)

• The Octave - Ardmore 7yo (2010)

• Villa Lobos Tequila Blanco 110 proof - and now for something completely different. Definitely not Scotch, but imported by Peter and our friends at Shand imports, so we thought we’d add it to the mix for a little added fun!

That’s our lineup so far. And knowing us, we might just add something to it. But we figure this is a great start to celebrating this great independent bottler.
