Hello Paris Drammers!

We're delighted to announce that our next Drammers Paris tasting will take place on Thursday, the 16th of March at 19:00!  We're putting together a fantastic lineup of rare whiskies for everyone to taste (you can read about 5 of them below, and we'll add a few bonus pours the day of the event).  We'll order in some light food (which is included, likely pizza) to make sure nobody's drinking on an empty stomach.  We hope you can join us!

Cheers,
Charlie, Alexis and Drammers Club

  • New England Barrel Co. Bourbon in a Lord Hobo Stouted Beer Cask. This is a single barrel that our Drammers Boston chapter selected. New England Barrel Co. is an independent bottling company based out of New Hampshire, and it is all the rage in that region — luckily our Boston members jumped on it early. We welcomed their founder James Saunders as a guest speaker for our kickoff Drammers Boston event, and followed that up by tasting through some of his special releases. When we got wind of this barrel - Kentucky Bourbon sourced from Green River and finished in a Lord Hobo stout beer cask. Our Boston chapter made the way up to the NEBCo offices a few months ago and picked a barrel just for our members, and it is yummy -- like a Milky Way candy bar in a bottle. Since we selected this barrel, Green River Distillery was acquired by our friends at Bardstown Bourbon Company! 56.9% abv.

  • New Riff - Single Barrel Cask Strength Rye.  The story of how New Riff distillery grew out of the success of the Party Source liquor shop is extraordinary, and we'll get into that at the tasting, where we'll try a single barrel expression of their rye, released exclusively at the Premier Drams whiskey festival in Washington DC last year at Jack Rose Saloon, which we were proud to attend.  53.05% abv.

  • Stauning Danish Whisky - 2 Drammers-Exclusive Single Barrels.  Our latest picks to arrive are these two special single barrels from Stauning Danish Whisky -- a double oaked floor malted rye, and a peated single malt whisky, both selected by a majority vote of our members during a special online tasting event and distillery tour of Stauning.  We're extremely proud to say that our barrels are the very first single barrels Stauning released in the United States.  57% abv.

  • Westland Mezcal Finish.  We'll keep the party going with this fun new single barrel from our friends at Westland in Seattle.  It's their trademark single malt finished in a mezcal cask, selected by our friends at Jack Rose Saloon, and which they've named "Fruit of the Earth", cask #2543.  Aged for 7 years.  58.1% abv.
