We’re gearing up for our next Drammers Long Island, and raising some money for a good cause in the process! We’re thrilled to announce that Raj Sabharwal will be joining as our guest speaker, in town from North Carolina. We are fortunate that he is a regular at our Drammers events, and likely he needs no introduction, but just in case — in addition to being a great friend and fellow Drammer — he is the founding partner at Glass Revolution, which imports so many fantastic spirits — Amrut, Waterford and Bimber to just name a few. But he also imports one we haven’t focused on lately — the independent bottling superstars Blackadder.

So that’s going to be the focus of this event, featuring bottles from Islay, Speyside, Highland, Campbetown, over 125 years of maturation across 8 expressions, all raw cask single casks. Ah, but which ones exactly you ask? Well, for a little bit of added fun, we’re going to make it a blind taste test event! And Raj has really gone the extra mile on this one, pulling 7 exceptional bottles from his personal collection that he’s donating with one fabulous goal in mind — that all the proceeds will be donated to support the covid relief effort in India. Of course as we’re sure everyone knows, the situation there is very challenging right now, as we’ve heard in sobering detail from our members in Mumbai, sadly. So we’re glad to do a little bit to help. In any case, it promises to be a fantastic evening and we hope you can join us!
