We’ve got another great event for you — June 7th we’re welcoming the Managing Director of the Isle of Raasay Distillery, William Dobbie. William is the son of co-founder Bill Dobbie, and was just promoted to the role of Managing Director in February. This all comes at an exciting time, as the team behind the Isle of Raasay Distillery starts production on another distillery — the Machrihanish Distillery in Campbeltown, which is the first new distillery in Campbeltown in a long time). The Isle of Raasay Distillery was founded in 2014, and they’re already releasing incredible whiskey. At this tasting, we’ll be trying their 6 components that make up their flagship Single Malt Scotch:

To make their whiskies, they first mature their spirit separately in first fill Rye whiskey, fresh Chinkapin oak and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks (a peated and unpeated of each). These six recipe casks marry together to create a peated and an unpeated expression.

We hope you can join us! The location is: Birch Road Lincoln Park- 1113 W. Armitage Ave. We’ll order in light food (likely pizza, included) to try to make sure nobody is drinking on an empty stomach, and of course (as always) arranging a ride home is strongly encouraged.
