Jun. 15: Drammers Indianapolis - CANCELED
PLEASE NOTE, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED (WE WILL FOCUS ON THE EVENT AT THE END OF THE MONTH WITH ROLLING FORK INSTEAD)
Hello Indy Drammers!
Our next Drammers tasting is Thursday, June 15th at 7pm, where we’ll be opening at least 8 rare and unusual expressions of scotch, bourbon, mezcal and more to try (as always, we’ll also order in some pizza, which is included). Specificially we'll be opening…
one of the Hazelburn open day bottles that were only available if you attended the Springbank open day at the Campbeltown Malts festival a couple weeks ago, only released in 300ml bottles (we brought one back for the Indy crew to try).
We'll also have our new Drammers exclusive single cask of Loch Lomond 12yo single malt scotch — Loch Lomond has a much bigger presence in Europe, but has only recently started to focus more on the US market, and we’re proud to say we have one of the very first single barrels from this distillery made available in the United States. It was fully matured in a 1st fill Oloroso sherry cask,
Next up, we’ll try a bottle of hopped (!) single malt from the Atelier Vie distillery in New Orleans,
we’ll also taste a rare bottle of French single malt from the impossible-to-find Version Francaise series that La Maison du Whisky has put together,
for this month’s mezcal, we’ll open up a bottle of our new Drammers-exclusive mezcal distilled from the tobala agave and released by our friends at 5 Sentidos (this is the one we did the launch party for a month back at Vine & Table, where we were proud to play a key role in bringing their mezcal into the state!).
We’ll be trying three additional expressions that we’ll finalize closer to the event, including some bourbon and rye from the US.
We hope you can join us! The cost is $40/person for Members, or $50/person for Drammers Observers and Non-Members, and as always we’ll order in some light food (almost certainly pizza), which is included. We hope you can join us!
Cheers!
