Hello Raleigh and Durham Drammers!

Our next tasting in the Raleigh/Durham area will be on Thursday, Feb. 1st at 7pm, and we’re excited to announce that we’ve got a special guest speaker for the event — Raj Sabharwal!

Raj is a founding partner (and the face of) one of the most important importers of whiskey and other spirits in the United States. He imports a wide range of some of the most sought-after single malt scotches (Blackadder, Murray McDavid), UK single malts (Bimber) and he is perhaps best known for importing the ground-breaking Indian whisky Amrut. Many people in the industry credit Raj’s work introducing Amrut to the US market with pioneering the introduction of world whisky (meaning whisky not coming from Scotland, UK, Ireland or Canada). He’s also an incredibly nice and genuine person, who happens to be one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry.

We’ll be tasting a mix of Blackadder scotches, single malt from London and Amrut Indian single malt bottlings (see below), and we’ll order in pizza (included) to make sure nobody’s drinking on an empty stomach. Of course, we strongly encourage everyone to arrange a ride home. We hope you can join us!
