June 27, 2021: Drammers Warsaw!!......

Fellow Drammers!

With the covid situation improving, we’re excited to get the party going in Warsaw again! We hope you can join us at 17:00 (5pm) on Sunday, the 27th of June (we’re in the process of assembling a kickass lineup of whiskies to celebrate the occasion)! And to make sure we’re starting with a bang, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re doing an online event Saturday night live from the Chopin Distillery in Poland, where we’ll invite out members in the United States and around the world to join in, as we pick a batch of Chopin vodka exclusively for our club (something we’ve been talking about since we tried their 2017 young potato vodka at Fort Whisky after one of our events in Warsaw in 2019). Very excited to see our Warsaw friends again! Hard to believe it was February of 2020 since we last were able to get together in Warsaw!

Btw, we added a couple features to the Drammers.com website — you can now sign up for the event by credit card, and you can toggle the currency option at the top so you can see the price listings in Zloty (it will still show up in US Dollars when you check out, but still an improvement, ha). Back in February of 2020, some of you chose to pay the annual membership fee, and of course we’ll extend that for a year starting now since we weren’t able to do any events last year). We also changed the login system 6 months ago, so you’ll need to register again (for those who previously signed up as paid Members, I’ll send you info on how to log in as members now so you don’t have to pay again). If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, our club is set up so that once you’re invited to join, you can join as a free “Drammers Observer”, or a paid “Drammers Member” for about 369 Zloty per year (US$99/year), which gets you a discount to our in person events and access to our private barrel picks. In fact, when we picked our rare 20 year old Clynelish bottle of Single Malt Scotch with Thompson Bros. last year, I had 100 bottles sent to Germany, saving them for our European members, so now our Members in Warsaw can get them on the website and have them shipped directly no problem.

In any case, excited to see everyone! We’ll update this with details on where we’re meeting and what bottles we’ll be drinking very soon, but in the meantime, please feel free to register now so we can get a headcount! As always, anyone who has been to a meeting in the past can invite a friend or two to join. And a huge thank you to Maks Stempniewicz for organizing!
