Hello Austin Drammers!
We’re excited to announce a special tasting on Thursday, February 5th at 7pm with Randall Hoover, the brand ambassador for Barrell Bourbon. We imagine Barrell needs little introduction, but just in case, they are the groundbreaking blenders behind some of the most innovative bourbon and rye releases of the last decade, including Dovetail, Seagrass and a lot more. We’ve long been enormous fans of this whiskey-making team, and have bought three single barrels with them over the years, two of which we’ll be bringing for this tasting. Randall will be letting us know soon the exact lineup for this event, and Barrell has so many releases, it will likely change and expand as we get closer to the event. Here’s an example of a lineup we did recently with members of the Barrell team in Boston and Philadelphia to give you a feel for what to expect:

Likely the lineup in Houston will be even bigger! We hope you can join us! A big thank you to our chapter head Dan Salter for organizing (we’ll follow up with details on the location closer to the event). We'll order in light food (likely pizza) to try to make sure nobody is drinking on an empty stomach, and as always we strongly encourage everyone to arrange a ride home -- most of what we'll be drinking is cask strength after all!
