Hello Los Angeles Drammers,
We’re thrilled to invite you to a special tasting on Tuesday, February 10th at 7pm with Charbay Distillery’s Master Distiller and co-owner Marko Karakasevic. I’m sure this distillery needs little introduction. He is incredibly the 13th generation master distiller, continuing a longstanding tradition in his family that was brought to the United States by his father Miles, who founded first a winery in 1983, and later added a distillery, which was only the 177th distillery in the United States at the time (keep in mind that now there are many thousands!). Charbay has become one of the most respected distilleries in the country, and today still is one of the industry’s greatest innovators (for example, they are one of the only distilleries producing a hopped whiskey today).
We are still in the process of confirming the lineup, but as this will be Marko’s first visit to the LA area in a while, we have no doubt he’ll be bringing some very special drams with him. We’ll send out an update when we have more information about the pour lineup.
We hope you can join us! We’ll order in light food (likely pizza), which is included with your order. And as always, we ask everyone to arrange a ride home, as we will inevitably be drinking plenty of high-proof stuff.
