Aug. 9: Drammers Louisville -w- Shannon Hood of Ironroot Distillery...

Hello Louisville Drammers!

You’re invited to join our next Drammers Louisville event on Friday, August 9th at 8pm for a special tasting with the Ironroot brand ambassador Shannon Hood who will be in town from Texas. A big thank you to Vivian Tarn for hosting (her address is:  1260 S Brook St, 40203).  Doors at 7:30pm, Shannon’s presentation will start closer to 8pm.

Ironroot is a Texas Distillery, and very much beloved by our Texas members of the club. Alongside Balcones, they are easily one of the most talked-about distilleries in the state. Our guest speaker (and fellow Drammer!) Shannon Hood will be bringing pretty much their whole lineup — their core range releases Harbinger and Promethean, plus their Saints Alley Port/Cognac finished expression and their Armagnac-finished expression, and a couple of special surprise limited edition releases. So we’ll have at least 6 expressions from Ironroot for you to try with Shannon on hand to tell us all about them.

Two things to note — first, you will want to grab a bite to eat before the event (normally we order in pizza, but since this is a little bit of a later start time, and most of the group said they were eating before, we decided to make it a free event and just encourage people to eat on their own. Also, we’re going to keep the focus on Ironroot tonight — initially we thought about adding some other bottles too, but Shannon brought so many goodies for us to try, we decided to just keep the focus on that.
