Hello Indianapolis Whiskey Friends!

We’re delighted to invite you to this special whiskey tasting on August 24th with our dear friend Raj Sabharwal (happy hour at 6pm, tasting at 7pm, location is 16028 Farr Hills Dr, Westfield, IN 46074-7609). A huge thank you to Jeff and Dee Timi for hosting.

Raj is a founding partner (and the face of) one of the most important importers of whiskey and other spirits in the United States. He imports a wide range of some of the most sought-after single malt scotches (Blackadder, Murray McDavid), Irish whiskeys (Waterford), UK single malts (Bimber) and he is perhaps best known for importing the ground-breaking Indian whisky Amrut. Many people in the industry credit Raj’s work introducing Amrut to the US market with pioneering the introduction of world whisky (meaning whisky not coming from Scotland, UK, Ireland or Canada). He’s also an incredibly nice and genuine person, who happens to know more about whisky and other spirits then just about anyone we have ever met, and that’s saying something. And our Drammers Club is excited to meet our friends from the Irish Whiskey Fans of Central Indiana (this is a shared event between the Indianapolis chapter of the Drammers Club and the Irish Whiskey Fans of Central Indiana).

We’re very excited that Raj is visiting Indianapolis and taking the time to be with us. More than that, he’s bringing an exciting array of bottles so that the cost of the event is only $15/person (mostly to cover food/pizza).

A huge thank you to Jeff and Dee Timi for hosting, here’s a quick note from them with more details:

Feel free to bring a bottle to share but it's not necessary. Between Raj and me, we'll have plenty to choose from (... iykyk!). We'll also have several examples of great Drammers single cask bottles on hand to sample. Cost will be $15, mostly to cover pizza. If you have any suggestions or other needs let us know. Our events are always very informal. It's about fellowship and whisk(e)y... well, maybe mostly whisk(e)y ;^)

Sláinte mhath!
