Apr. 17: Drammers Mexico City...

Hola amigos!

We’re hosting a Drammers Mexico City rare whiskey and spirits tasting on Monday, April 17th at 7pm. A big thank you to our friends at Diente de Oro in Condesa for hosting us. We’ll be tasting 7 expressions of whisky and rum at the event, specifically:

• Loch Lomond Glengarry, 12yo Single Malt Scotch. This highland distillery is huge in Europe, but not as well known in the Americas. We’ll be drinking a single barrel of their single malt scotch, aged all 12 years in a first fill ex-bordeaux cask and bottled at 55.0% abv.  The reddish color gives it away — huge fruit notes, and it’s delicious.

• Waterford Irish Single Malt ed. 1.1 from the Dunbell farm, 50% abv

• Two Stacks Blenders Cut Sauternes finished Irish whiskey, hand bottling gift from the founders of Two Stacks, 63.5% abv

• Limavady Single Barrel Irish Single Malt, triple distilled, finished in ex-bourbon and PX-sherry casks

• Prieto y Prieta Whisky Mexicano, made with Oaxacan corn, 43% abv

• Chilapa Mexican Rum, Anejo, 38% abv, also made here in Oaxaca

• Max Krassel Oaxacan rum, batch #1, 8yo anejo, 40% abv
